My fellow members:
First off, once again I want to acknowledge that through the hard work of many of you, your Rogue Chapter was selected 2024 Large Chapter of the Year AND Your Roguette Auxiliary was selected 2024 Auxiliary of the Year..
Secondly, August 8 & 9 as well as 22 & 23 we will be having a fund raiser at Food 4 Less in Medford. The funds raised on the first weekend will go to our chapter scholarship fund and the 2nd event will begin raising funds for Wreaths Across America. We will be there 10-4 each day and we need at least 2-3 people for each shift. I will be there all 4 days all day, but could use some help for nature calls and to grab a bite to eat. If interested in helping for a few hours in the morning or afternoon, let me know.
Thirdly, we have enough members in Grants Pass that we want to try a quarterly meeting in Grants Pass to afford all of those members in Josephine County to come and personally see what is going on. I have a few people looking for a location and we hope to have a site, date and time available soon The earliest date will probably be in October. Watch the newsletter for updates.
Fourthly, September 6th at Veteran’s Park in Medford next to the National Guard Armory we will hold a simple pot luck social. Salads and desserts to keep it simple. It will start at 1300 and I should have to award plaques from HQ for Chapter and Auxiliary of the Year by then. Bring a lawn chair.
Lastly, VeteRUN 2025 will be next month. The golf tournament is on the 20th and the 5K will be on the 27th. I want to thank Norman Morgan and Terry Westcott for getting the word out in Grants Pass. Also a big shout out to Jamie from Team Senior who is a champion for seniors and veterans!
