Desk of the Chairman July 2026

Fellow Members:

As I prepare for a long-deserved vacation, I want to thank all of you who have continued to support the aims and goals of the Non Commissioned Officers Association.  The transition process to convert from a brick-and-mortar association to the virtual association is taking longer than any of us anticipated but the salvation of NCOA is worth our patience.  The Rogue Chapter has stood out as a Beacon of Hope that demonstrates the vision of our founders back in 1960.  We have stepped up to keep the Medallion program alive and are only a few presentations shy of reaching 2100 presentations to deserving veterans as a symbol of appreciation for their service and sacrifice.

I want to thank all of you who have renewed your membership and urge those due soon to step up and show your support.  The cost is minimal, $30 to renew for 1-year if you have served in the military and $20 for 1 year is you are a family member with no prior service.  Until the National website is updated, please renew through the chapter and we can then catch any updated contact information .  Checks can be mailed to our address listed below and you can use a credit card on our chapter website on the membership tab.  I encourage you all to check out our updated website as many changes have been implemented and I want to thank John Hunrath for his constructive suggestions.

During this 250^th celebration of the birth of our nation, our Rogue Chapter has been selected as the Grand Marshall for the local 4^th of July parade in Central Point.  I am sad that I will miss it, but I encourage all who can to please attend and cheer on our chapter.  I hope that there will be lots of pictures for me to see when I return.
